Back In Time: 30's

Hello all the fashion lovers out there!

In this post I will descibe one of my favorite fashion times - 30's.

All the elegant dresses, fur, make-up and hats is just fabulous and every time I look at 1930's fashion I'm melting.

Men dressed up nice, sporting fedoras and double-breasted overcoats.

 The boys wore short shorts and tall socks.

The women wore dresses and kept their hair close to their head.

Fur was in and so were floral patterns. 

Makeup was chic and shoulder pads were very important until the late 1930s.

Although hats were still popular for women, they were gradually becoming less popular. Hairstyles was much more significant.

Fashion in 1930 was highly influenced by stars of the silver screen. One of the stars was Greta Garbo who popularized the windblown look, with her side-parted hair. 

In the late 30's from Europe, come “black out” fashions which include tailored suits, white hats, flashlights and boxes for gas masks. Pinguet re-inspires the square shoulder, which stayed in some level of popularity for almost another decade.
